Responsibilities
The Senior QA Automation Tester is responsible for delivering test automation capability to support efficient software delivery; they will develop and maintain automated testing software tools and framework(s). Automated testing forms an integral part of software development and support in the live environment, the QAAT must ensure that scripts are robust and can be integrated into release automation (CICD) pipelines.
Experience & Qualifications
4+ years experience as an automated tester
Excellent communication skills and able to converse with both technical and non-technical audiences
Analytical problem-solving skills.
Is user centric, and recognizes where risks in applications could exist.
Core Java Concepts – Important concepts of Inheritance, OOPS, Collections,
Testing Frameworks – Established skills in tools such Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin, Postman, and be confident testing across cloud, web and mobile applications.
Restful API – Good knowledge of HTTP, REST, microservices architecture, API Testing, OAuth2 protocol. Tools and techniques for API testing. (i.e. HTTP client, REST Assured etc.)
Exception handling, etc. understood and can work with development teams to review unit and other developer testing.
Build Automation Tools – Familiarity with open source build automation tools like Maven and Gradle that can build almost any type of software.
Deployment – Understanding of Jenkins pipelines and how to integrate testing.
