Sales Engineer Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor the assigned territory to be covered.
- Prepare and recommend sales action plans and strategies for approval of the Sales and Marketing Manager.
- Prepare and give technical presentations to explain to customers how the products and services work.
- Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
- Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery.
- Source and develop client referrals.
- Develop and maintain an updated customer database.
- Negotiate and close deals with clients.
- Remind customers for their monthly orders and collect for payments.
- Ensure timely collection of payments.
- Respond to sales inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person.
- Monitor competitors, market conditions and product development in his assigned territory.
- Perform regular quality check on products and service deliveries.
- Conduct market research and surveys.
- Prepare and submit weekly itinerary and monthly progress reports on time.
- Recommend new and improved products to the customers and explain how the equipment will be more cost-effective.
Secondary Duties:
- Comply with requirements regarding administration, policies, guidelines and other related activities.
- Maintain good image of the Company by showing good rapport to co-employees, visitors, existing and prospective customers.
- Exercise good conduct and grooming in the performance of duty.
- Perform other related duties that may be assigned by his superior.
